Monday morning- the “Honey do” list is in effect.

Okay so here we are Monday morning 9:37a.m., British just rolled out of bed. I’m barely awake and right away she’s asking questions and making lovely sweet wifey requests… “honey, where’s the toothpaste?” “Do you have Samantha’s phone number?” “Can you call or text Kelly for Samantha’s number so i can follow up with her?”  While she’s asking 20 questions in 20 seconds, she’s brushed her teeth washed her face and put on her gym clothes to go and work out.  I haven’t even had a chance to stretch, pick my nose or even roll over to grab the remote control for ESPN (as I do every morning). Geesh! When did I become the admin around here?

Of course I send the text to Kelly because if I don’t she’s going to keep asking me. Trust me ladies, most guys only want you to make the request once.  This way everybody is happy. The “invisible” pressure of  “GO and do it already!”  isn’t something most of us are comfortable with. So the text is sent.

So far…she’s rushed to put on he gym clothes only to sprint to her office (on the other side of the house) probably to never make it to the gym.  I always give British credit for her determination to think and look like she’s about to “workout”.  It’s another thing getting her in the gym to actually get it done before she steps into her office and begins responding to emails and phone calls.

Me, i’m going to eat some grape nuts cereal with raisins and walk the dogs before I head to the “dungeon” (my office). I call it the dungeon not with a negative connotation. It truly is my creative thinking box. There’ the computers the reclining  message chair that vibrates very nicely when i’m declined at a 70 degree angle. There’s the white board with all of my goals, action steps, notes, doodles etc. Behind on my wall is a big black white framed picture  of the Muhammad Ali standing over Sonny Liston (The Phantom Punch). That’s my favorite. Also on my other wall is my dream board. In the corner is my Epiphany acoustic guitar (Christmas gift) a couple of years ago. I’m pretty good too. Just kidding, I can’t play a single note but I’ll learn eventually.

It’s  about 15 minutes later and she hasn’t made it to the her workout. As you can see, i don’t get breakfast in bed either. It’s evey man for himself around here pal!
