This past week has been pretty interesting regarding communication between British and me. It’s the weirdest thing. Typically her and I can communicate very well. Sometimes we  literally finish each others sentences. But, for some crazy reason last week and partially into the weekend we were missing all cylinders! For example, I was attempting to explain to her my reasoning behind going to Home Depot first, then stop by Applebee’s  for lunch and then we can pop into by Sam’s Club on the way home. It’s sorta all one big circle so it made perfect sense to me. However, for some reason…apparently I wasn’t articulating, formulating, communicating this effectively because she was totally lost.

It pretty much got to the point where she simply went along with it and about half way thru our journey she says “Oh, I see what you mean now”.

Can someone please explain that one to me?  I’m serious. This has been happening  with us for over a week! A couple of weeks ago I read something online and in the newspaper about mercury retrograde (http://www.alphalifetrends.com/mercuryretrograde.html).

Supposedly, it affects peoples decision and attitudes about issues and communication. It’s interesting. I promise I’m not making this up! Our communication was so far off kilter it was extremely noticable to me.  So noticable I found myself frustrated with British because she wasn’t understanding me. It actually got to a point (after several instances) that we simply started laughing at each other  about the entire situation.

As I reflect on this situation and I really do believe men are from Mars and women are from Venus….I have no idea what else comes from Mercury!
